Brackenrigg Barn - The Sett
The woodland is home to many badgers – hence the name for this delightful retreat. The Sett sleeps 4-5 and retains many features of the barn; including open stonework & exposed beams & is now an extremely comfortable place to stay!
A large well-appointed barn cottage with two bedrooms; one double (13’x11’) & one twin (19’x11’) which also has a z-bed suitable for a child. New bathroom with bath/shower & WC. The spacious (450 sqft) living/dining area has a pine dining table (seating 6) & dresser, two large sofas, TV/dvd and iPOD doc and, down three steps into the lower entrance area, is a double sofabed for occasional use if required (the total sleeping capacity of 4-5 cannot be exceeded). The huge floor-to-ceiling window looks out onto the pretty fellside garden with patio, picnic table & BBQ. From the lounge area are views to the Helvellyn range. Free wi-fi access.
The new open-plan kitchen is well-equipped, with dishwasher, fridge, oven & halogen hobs, microwave, breakfast bar etc, and there is a shared laundry room.
