Brackenrigg is the perfect venue for a family holiday - extensive gardens and an acre of private woodland. Our woodland is home to an abundance of wildlife (badgers, red squirrels, deer, owls, buzzards), & flowers. We hope you'll explore our network of pathways and picnic spots. There's a large ball-play paddock and, in the Spring, pet lambs to feed. And red squirrels to watch playing in the grounds. Hop over the stile, to the fell behind: a natural adventure playground of fells, crags, rocks, paths, streams, waterfalls and a tarn. .

We offer an extensive range of guide-books and maps, plus our own local knowledge, to help you get the best out of your stay in this most beautiful corner of the world. We also have timetables & contacts for the Leisure Pool, Derwentwater launch, bike hire, watersports & horse-riding.

We can offer discounted day and weekly passes for Lodore Falls Leisure and Spa facilities including swimming pools, tennis and squash courts and gym, as well as discounted spa treatments - all within 10mins drive.

And we also offer free use of a Children's Toybox, with a selection of games, such as Duplo, farm animals, Marble Run, dolls & dressing up stuff. There's also an Outdoor Games Box - typically containing Frisbees, boule, a cricket set, football & football goal.

For when they tire, all our cottages have SKY TV & DVD. High Rigg has all the children's channels too and sports and movies - for kids of all ages!
